Garrard's Zero 100, in basic performance, easily ranks with the finest automatic turntables on the market. It's more in frustration that the German decks are, well let's just say it, slightly better engineered. My Dual comparison is not to spit on Garrard. My latest acquisition of a splendid vintage Garrard turntable has turned from a simple restoration to something of an epic job. In contrast, the Duals have a speed adjustment (tapered pulley that can move up and down slightly). I've never had one that's dead-on at 33.3.
