The remastered versions of Halo: Reach, Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 are now playable on PC, and these classics have gained an enthusiastic new community and a boost in popularity as a result. However, that is now changing as Microsoft moves towards unifying its available games and their player bases across Windows 10 and Xbox. Halo fans on PC had been asking for a way to play the complete series for years, but were mostly given the cold shoulder by Microsoft. The older games in the Halo series have found new life thanks to the PC port of The Master Chief Collection. Halo 2: Anniversary came to the MCC on PC earlier this month, marking the third in a total of six games that are being added to the collection over time.
343 Industries will begin multiplayer testing for Halo 3 in the PC version of The Master Chief Collection much sooner than expected.
